Questions

What people ask before they order

Will it pass my county health inspection?

Health codes are set locally and they vary, so the honest answer is that we build to meet them but you should confirm the specifics with your health department before we finalise the layout. Send us their requirements sheet at quote stage — sink counts, hot water, hood and fire suppression, and finish surfaces are the items that usually differ — and we’ll build to your county rather than to a generic standard.

How is it titled and registered?

Your trailer is supplied with its VIN and manufacturer documentation at delivery, which is what your state DMV needs to title and register it. Registration is done in your own state, in your business name. We supply the paperwork; you file it.

Do I need a CDL to tow it?

For a typical concession trailer, no. CDL requirements are based on combined weight rating, and a standard concession trailer behind a suitable pickup sits under the threshold in most states. If you’re close to the line we’ll tell you at quote stage, because the weight rating is something we decide together during design.

What does the deposit and payment schedule look like?

60% deposit to start the build, balance in full at pickup or before delivery. Financing is available if you need it — ask when you request a quote and we’ll point you at options. Government and school district orders work differently: tax-exempt billing, FOB destination, and Net 30 terms as standard.

How long will it take?

120 to 240 days from a signed order, depending on the configuration and how much equipment has to be sourced. If you have a fixed date — a season opening, a fair, a school year — tell us at quote stage and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can hit it rather than promising and missing.

Can you deliver to my state?

Yes. We deliver nationwide using our own insured team rather than a third-party carrier, so the people who built the unit are the people who hand it over. We’ve delivered from our Georgia facility to Illinois, Oregon and Michigan.

What does the warranty cover?

One year on structure, components and workmanship. Manufacturer warranties on installed equipment — refrigeration, cooking line, fire suppression — are transferred to you, and several of those run longer than a year.

Can I see it during the build?

Yes. We send progress photos as standard, and you’re welcome at the shop by arrangement. You approve the layout drawing before we start, so there are no surprises at handover.

Questions

What people ask before they order

Will it be set up for my trade specifically?

That’s the point of building it rather than buying it. An electrician needs conduit carriers and reel mounts; a landscaper needs a ramp and open bay; an HVAC tech needs bottle storage and parts bins. Tell us your trade and how you load in the morning, and we lay out the shelving and bench around that.

Can you fit out a truck body instead of a trailer?

Yes. The same shelving, bench and power work goes into a service truck body. If you have a chassis, we can work with it; if not, we can source one.

How long will it take?

120 to 240 days from a signed order, depending on the configuration and how much equipment has to be sourced. If you have a fixed date, tell us at quote stage and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can hit it rather than promising and missing.

What deposit is required and when is the balance due?

60% deposit to start the build, balance in full at pickup or before delivery. Financing is available if you need it. Government and school district orders work differently: tax-exempt billing, FOB destination, and Net 30 terms as standard.

Questions

What people ask before they order

Can you build this on a trailer instead of a van?

Yes. The same power, communications and workstation package goes into a towable trailer, which gives you more floor space and lets you leave the unit on scene while the tow vehicle does other work. Tell us which suits your operation and we’ll price both.

Do you work with our existing radio and comms vendor?

Regularly. We build the rack, power and antenna infrastructure and coordinate with whoever supplies your radios so the install lands cleanly. If you already have a comms integrator, we’ll work to their layout.

How long will it take?

120 to 240 days from a signed order, depending on the configuration and how much equipment has to be sourced. If you have a fixed date, tell us at quote stage and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can hit it rather than promising and missing.

Questions

What people ask before they order

What capacity can you build for mass fatality response?

The Oregon Department of Emergency Management unit holds up to 24 decedents on two lines of e-track mounted racks in a 7 by 24 foot trailer, and maintains 35°F in 110°F ambient. Larger and smaller are both straightforward — tell us your planning figure and we size the box and the refrigeration to it.

Can this be bought with FEMA or state emergency management grant funding?

Frequently, yes. Our Oregon unit was procured by a state emergency management department and delivered to a county. Grant rules vary by programme, so tell us the funding source at quote stage — federal funding may trigger Buy American and domestic content requirements that affect how we specify the build.

Do you build for game and meat processing as well?

Yes. Same insulated box and refrigeration, different rack system — overhead galvanised rails with hooks instead of trays. Processors, butchers and event caterers use the same unit.

How long will it take?

120 to 240 days from a signed order, depending on the configuration and how much equipment has to be sourced. If you have a fixed date, tell us at quote stage and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can hit it rather than promising and missing.

Questions

What people ask before they order

Who buys mobile dental units?

County and state health departments, school-based dental programmes, federally qualified health centres, correctional health systems, non-profit outreach providers and private mobile dentistry operators. Most are reaching populations that can’t easily travel to a fixed clinic.

Can it be built to our state’s clinical requirements?

That’s how we’d rather do it. Clinical and licensing requirements for mobile dental facilities are set at state level and vary considerably — surfaces, water systems, waste handling and imaging shielding are the usual differences. Send us your state board’s requirements at quote stage and we build to them rather than to a generic standard.

Do you install the dental equipment or do we?

Either. We routinely install chairs, delivery units, suction and imaging as part of the build, and we can equally build the shell, services and finishes and leave equipment installation to your own supplier.

How long will it take?

120 to 240 days from a signed order, depending on the configuration and how much equipment has to be sourced. If you have a fixed date, tell us at quote stage and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can hit it rather than promising and missing.

Questions

What people ask before they order

Is this suitable for police K-9 use?

The build shown is configured for rescue and animal services — multiple compartments and amber warning lighting. A police K-9 unit is a different specification: usually one or two larger compartments, heat alarm with remote door release, and red and blue warning equipment. We can build either; tell us which.

Can you build a trailer version for larger intake?

Yes. Where a van doesn’t give you enough compartments — disaster animal sheltering, large shelter transfers — the same compartment system goes into a towable trailer with more capacity and its own climate control.

How long will it take?

120 to 240 days from a signed order, depending on the configuration and how much equipment has to be sourced. If you have a fixed date, tell us at quote stage and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can hit it rather than promising and missing.

Questions

What people ask before they order

Can you build ADA-compliant units?

Yes. Grab bars, wider stalls, level thresholds and ramp or lift entry are all standard options. Requirements vary with the setting and the funding source, so tell us the applicable standard at quote stage and we build to it.

Are these suitable for disaster deployment?

That’s one of the main uses. Base camps and staging areas need welfare facilities before almost anything else. We build for grid-independent running with generator and tank capacity sized to the deployment length, and we deliver nationwide with our own team.

Manufacturer warranties on installed equipment are transferred to you, and several of those run longer than a year.

Can I see it during the build?

Yes. We send progress photos as standard, and you’re welcome at the shop by arrangement. You approve the layout drawing before we start, so there are no surprises at handover.

Questions

What people ask before they order

What’s the difference between this and a command vehicle?

The build is much the same — power, workstations, climate control, comms provision. The difference is that a trailer gives you more floor space for the money and stays on scene when the tow vehicle leaves, while a van drives itself and sets up faster. We build both; tell us how your operation works and we’ll say which fits.

Can it run without shore power?

Yes. A tongue-mounted generator box handles off-grid running, and we size the generator to the load rather than fitting a standard one. Solar and battery banks are available where you need silent running.

How long will it take?

120 to 240 days from a signed order, depending on the configuration and how much equipment has to be sourced. If you have a fixed date, tell us at quote stage and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can hit it rather than promising and missing.

Pricing

What it costs, honestly

Most builders won’t give you a number until you’re on the phone. Here’s the shape of it, so you can decide whether we’re worth the call.

Price is driven by size, how much equipment goes in, and how much of the work is systems rather than shell. A school district kitchen trailer we delivered in 2025 came in at $92,434. A straightforward utility build is a fraction of that; a fully equipped command vehicle is more.

The quote is free and itemised, so you can see what each part costs and take things out if you need to.
